Dear Tajuddin,
As I mentioned earlier, you can approach Universities to request for a waiver but please remember that after getting an admission offer, your English language proficiency has to be demonstrated at your Visa application stage as well. This is the reasons why students planning for US generally appear for TOEFL instead of wasting time chasing Universities for waivers.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Kunal.

Dear Sarwar,
I agree with Praveen.
Please understand that both IELTS and TOEFL test your english language proficiency. For US, TOEFL is the more widely accepted test for demonstrating english language proficiency.
GRE and GMAT are used by graduate schools to assess your analytical and verbal abilities. For MS programs, you need to appear for GRE and for MBA and business related programs, you need GMAT.
Also remember that after getting an admission offer, your English language proficiency has to be demonstrated at your Visa application stage as well. These are the reasons why students planning for US generally appear for TOEFL instead of chasing Universities for waivers.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Kunal

Hi Sarwar, the exams are not mandatory provided you got very good scores in English during your academics.. However this is applicable only for some Universities.. most of the Universities will expect a good TOEFL/IELTS score.. hence, it differs from one University to other..
